Native American Nibiising (Ojibway for Beside the Lake) is located in Highway 11 and 17 corridor at Seymour Street. The huge wooden statue, made from white pine, stands 25 feet tall. The memorial stands as a testament to the earliest settlers in the area: Natives.
The War Memorial was unveiled in September 1922. At that time, the memorial was the largest monument cast in bronze in Canada. The wall of Honour was dedicated in the year 2000 and is the largest municiple memorial in Canada. The Wall of Honour displays the names of all the soldiers in the area who died fighting for their country.
The Jacques Cartier Memorial monument was erected as a commemoration of Jacques Cartier's first voyage to Canada.
